Jaunpur: In a shocking incident, the 24-year-old son of a prominent wholesale business dealing in almirahs was kidnapped while out for his regular morning walk on Friday. The victim, Suraj Gupta, son of Pradeep Gupta from Hanuman Ganj, Adiyar, was abducted by unknown individuals while driving his car.

- Ransom Demand: The kidnappers sent a WhatsApp message to the family, demanding a ransom of Rs. 40 lakh. They also threatened dire consequences if the ransom was not paid within 24 hours.
- Abduction Details: Suraj had left home for his morning walk as usual, but when he did not return for a long time, the family grew worried and began searching for him among neighbors and relatives.
- Photo Sent by Kidnappers: The kidnappers sent a photo of Suraj sitting in a four-wheeler to his uncle, Rajeev Gupta, along with the ransom message. The message warned that failure to pay within 24 hours would result in serious consequences.
- Police Investigation: Pradeep Gupta immediately informed the police. Three police teams have been formed to search for Suraj, but no significant progress has been made yet.
